Hills Crime Wrap: Two men charged with drink driving

Two men have been charged with drink driving after a car crash in Castle Hill on the weekend. 

Polic alleged a Kellyville man, 19, was driving a Holden Commodore on Gooraway Drive when he crashed into a Honda Civic on July 15.

The impact of the crash caused his vehicle to roll multiple times.

Police were called and the Kellyville man submitted to a roadside breath test, which returned a positive result. He was taken to Castle Hill Police Station and further breath analysis revealed a reading of 0.09. 

He was charged with mid-range drink driving and will appear in Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday, August 9. Officers spoke to the Castle Hill man, 19, who was driving the Honda Civic and he admitted he had been drinking.  A roadside breath test returned a positive reading and he was also taken to Castle Hill Police Station for further breath analysis, which revealed a reading of 0.193.

He was charged with high-range drink driving and will appear in Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday, August 9.

Thief arrested at Rouse Hill

A man has been issued a criminal infringement after he was caught stealing door locks from a store in Rouse Hill. It is alleged the Quakers Hill man, 31, entered the Annangrove Road store and took a handful of door locks at around 3.30pm on Friday, July 14. 

Police were called and he was arrested in possession of $69 worth of the goods.

House targeted by thieves

More than $2500 worth of goods have been stolen during a break-in at a Kellyville home. Police said a man, 33, discovered a rear door had been forced at his Maracana Street home. It is believed the theft took place between 11.30pm on Saturday, July 15 and 8.30am on Sunday, July 16. Two laptops and a tablet were stolen.

Concrete stolen from site

A Kellyville construction site has been raided by thieves with 36 bags of concrete stolen.

It is believed the theft at Watercreek Boulevard took place between noon on July 5 and noon on July 6.
