Hills Crime Wrap: Man caught six times over the legal drink driving limit

A man has been charged after he was caught drink driving more than six times over the legal limit in Vineyard. 

Quakers Hill Highway Patrol officers stopped the man, 36, driving on Bandon Road for a random breath test at about 2.15am on Saturday, June 17. 

He returned a positive reading and was arrested. He was then taken to Riverstone police station for further breath analysis, which returned a reading of 0.314.

The man was charged with high range prescribed concentration of alcohol and his driver’s licence was suspended. 

He is due to appear before Blacktown Local Court on Monday, July 10.

Man charged over graffiti

A Beaumont Hills man, 26 will face court after he was charged with vandalising a tunnel with graffiti.

Two men was seen walking towards traffic on Green Road in Kellyville at about 2am on Monday, June 19.

Officers approached the men and saw one of them remove two spray cans from his pocket and throw them into bushes.

He was allegedly wearing plastic gloves.

Police recovered the spray cans and one of the men allegedly confessed to spraying graffiti on a tunnel.

The man was charged with intentionally marking premises without consent.

He is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Friday, July 7.

Beaumont Hills break-in

More than $2000 worth of items have been stolen during a break and enter in Beaumont Hills.

It is believed thieves gained entry to The Rise home through a ground floor back door between 11pm on Friday, June 16 and 7am on Saturday, June 17. 

The intruders stole a laptop, two mobile phones, handbag and wallet to the value of $2400.

Mountain bike stolen

A mountain bike worth $5000 has been stolen in Kellyville. 

It is believed thieves cut the bike lock where it was parked on Seymour Way.

The victim told police he believed the bike was stolen sometime between 5pm and 7.30pm on Saturday, June 17.
