Man dies in car crash

A man died after his car crashed into a roadside barrier at Kellyville.

Police said it is believed the single-vehicle crash on Windsor Road happened at about 10pm on Tuesday, April 11. 

The male driver, and only occupant, was helped at the scene by passers-by until police from The Hills and NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived.

The man, believed to be aged in his 40s, was taken to Westmead Hospital.

He died a short time later.

School dance disturbance 

A Penrith man, 40, has been charged with goods in custody after police were called to Kellyville Public School.

Officers were called to the school after two drug affected men refused to leave a dance concert at about 9.15pm on Tuesday, April 11. 

Police spoke to the two men at the Windsor Road school, who confessed to being drug affected, and searched them. 

On one of the men, they found personal identification such as Medicare cards and other personal cards with someone else’s name.

The Penrith man was given a field court attendance notice and is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court on May 3.

Driver runs from accident

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision between a motorcyclist and car in Castle Hill earlier this month. 

It is believed the accident occurred at the intersection of Old Northern Road and Terminus Street at about 9.30pm on Saturday, April 8.

It is alleged the driver of the car left the scene without checking on the welfare of the motorcyclist who was knocked to the ground after a collision between the two vehicles.

The condition of the motorcyclist is unknown.  The car is described as a black late model Range or Land Rover.   Police said the car would have significant damage to the front driver’s side.
