Glenwood High School’s cultural diversity was on show on March 17 through Harmony Day celebrations.

Dress, music, dance and cuisines from across the globe were on offer for the school’s annual celebration.

Diversity team member Rob Lever said despite the rain, the day was a hit for teacher and students alike.

“The highlight of the day was the Showcase, which featured indigenous students as well as performances that highlighted Greek, African, Pacific Island and Indian cultures,” he said.

“Other features of the day were student led lessons given to year 7 and 8 classes, a multicultural food fair at lunchtime as well as talks given by Rhonda from Guide Dogs Australia.”

The annual day aims to promote respect, fairness and a sense of belonging.
